In profound sorrow, the Britt Funeral Home and Cremation Service join with the Sutton, Bizzell and Dawson families to announce Ms. Toni Nicole Dawson, age 34 of La Grange, North Carolina has completed her earthly journey. 

She was lovingly known by her family members and friends as “Toni”. 

Ms. Dawson transitioned from labor to reward, June 16, 2022, at the Wayne UNC Health Care Center in Goldsboro, North Carolina. 

Toni was born in Orange County, North Carolina, August 19, 1987, to Miss Peggie L. Dawson, Mother and Mr. Tony C. Bizzell, Father.

She received her education in the Lenoir County Public School System. 

Toni graduated from North Lenoir High School in the Class of 2006.

She worked as a Housekeeping Engineer for Howell’s Child Care Center in La Grange, North Carolina.

Ms. Toni loved her family members and friends.  Also, she loved family outings with her family members and friends.

A public visitation will be held, Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. in the Britt Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 414 East Washington Street, La Grange, North Carolina 28551. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held, Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the Britt Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 414 East Washington Street, La Grange, North Carolina 28551.   Bishop Dedrick Hood or Elder Rosa Davis will officiate.

Ms. Toni leaves to cherish precious memories to her guardian parents, Mother, Miss Peggie Dawson of La Grange, North Carolina; Father, Mr. Tony (Mary) Bizzell of Goldsboro, North Carolina; her brother, Mr. Curtis Dawson of La Grange, North Carolina; her stepbrother, Mr. Charleston Hill of Clayton, North Carolina; her sister, Ms. Rasheena Dawson of Greenville, North Carolina; her stepsister, Ms. Cheryl Jones of Willow Spring, North Carolina; her Grandmother, Mrs. Suzie Sutton of Kinston, North Carolina; her nephew, Mr. Travarous McKesson, Jr. of Greenville, North Carolina; her niece, Ms. Ja’shya Dawson of Greenville, North Carolina; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Wednesday, June 22, 2022, the family members and friends will assemble at  the residence of Miss Peggie Dawson, 6247 Roberts Drive, La Grange, North Carolina 28551, at 9:00 a.m., in preparation for the funeral procession to the Chapel of Britt Funeral Home.
