In profound sorrow, Britt Funeral Home and Cremation Service join with the Congelton, Jones and Adams families to announce Ms. Glenda Faye Adams of Goldsboro, North Carolina, age 55, has completed her earthly journey.

Ms. Adams transitioned from labor to reward, Thursday, December 14, 2023 at ECU Health Medical Center of Greenville in Greenville, North Carolina.

Ms. Glenda Faye Adams was lovingly known by her family members and friends as “Gi Gi”.

Glenda was born February 3, 1968 in Prince George County, Maryland to the late Mr. George Adams and Mrs. Margaret Congelton Adams. 

She received her education in the Prince George County Public School System in Maryland.

During her life span on this earth, she worked at Prince George County in Maryland as a Probation Officer. Later, she worked at Caswell Center in Kinston, North Carolina. Also, she worked at Nova in Snow Hill, North Carolina as a teacher’s aide and as a certified school bus driver for the Lenoir County School System.  Proudly, she transported her school students promptly and safely.

Additionally, she owned and operated three hair salons.

Our mother had a very prosperous and interesting life.

Ms. Glenda was a joy to everyone she met. She was just a special person with a big heart that was as pure as gold. She had an angelic tenor voice in many choruses.

She sprinkled her love, acceptance, inclusivity to everyone who had the blessings to be in her presence. She made us all laugh, think and feel loved.

Ms. Adams was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. George Adams and Mrs. Margaret Congleton Adams.

A Public Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. in the Britt Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 414 East Washington Street, La Grange, North Carolina 28551. 

A Memorial Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, January 20, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Britt Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 414 East Washington Street, La Grange, North Carolina 28551. Reverend, Dr. Harold O. Warren will officiate. 

Ms. Adams leaves to cherish her loving and precious memories to her son, Mr. James Adams and wife, Mrs. Shareda, of Capitol Heights, Maryland; her daughters, Ms. Jaiyauna Adams of Washington, DC and Ms. Markeysha Adams and friend, Mr. Desmond Jones of La Grange, North Carolina; her grandchildren, Kayden Ross, Kairee Ross, Kahmiya Ross, Jahari‘ Adams all of Capitol Heights, Maryland, Jiquoniia Cornelius and X’Zavaieer Dudley all of Washington, DC, Taleigha Adams , Jaylin Adams , Nazariah Adams and Kyrie Jones all of La Grange, North Carolina; her brother, Mr. John Adams of Atlanta, Georgia; her godson, Mr. Michael Haynie of La Grange, North Carolina; her grandson, Zaiden Haynie of Snow Hill, North Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

Saturday, January 20, 2024, the family members and friends will assemble at Britt Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 414 East Washington Street, La Grange, North Carolina at 9:30 a.m. in preparation for the funeral line up.
