In profound sorrow, the Britt Funeral Home and Cremation Service join with the Taylor, Britt and Kornegay families to announce Mrs. Mary Ruth Britt Kornegay, Age 74, formerly of Wayne County, North Carolina passed on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, Virginia.

A public visitation will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. in Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 2506 New Hope Road, La Grange, North Carolina 28551.    

Also, A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. in Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 2506 New Hope Road, La Grange, North Carolina 28551.   Elder Charles Howard will officiate.

Interment or Burial will following the Celebration of Life service on Wednesday, December 18, 2024 at Old Mill Cemetery, 3718 Central Heights Road, Goldsboro, North Carolina 27534.
