Mrs. Bernadene Hogan

 ”I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” (II Timothy 4:7)

Ms. Bernadene Hogan, age 68, lovingly known by her family members and friends as “Berna” of 107 Iron Kettle Court, Knightdale, North Carolina passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Duke Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Bernadene was born in Jefferson County, Alabama, on March 14, 1949 to the late Mr. Henry Hogan and Mrs. Geraldine Phillips Hogan.

After graduating from Ullman High School, in Birmingham, AL, she continued her education at A & T State University, in Greensboro, NC and earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. She then continued her graduate education at Michigan State University, earning her Master's Degree in Education. 

She practiced Nursing in Alabama, Maryland, and settled her final years in North Carolina, retiring from the Wake County Government System. This was a position she herself created, and it was a highlight of her Mental Health Profession.

Ms. Hogan’s daughter, Ms. Stacia Martina Britt Yelverton, will be receiving friends and family members at the home in Knightdale, North Carolina.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete.  Ms. Hogan's professional service has been entrusted to Britt Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 414 East Washington Street, La Grange, NC.
