In profound sorrow, the Britt Funeral Home and Cremation Service join with the Carraway, Joyner and Best families to announce Mr. Sylvanus Best, Jr., Age 93, of Raleigh, North Carolina and formerly of Lenoir County, North Carolina passed on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Tower Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Raleigh, North Carolina.

A public visitation will be held Friday, December 20, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. in Capital City Church of God, 1500 Hedingham Boulevard, Raleigh, North Carolina 27604.    

Also, A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, December 20, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. in Capital City Church of God, 1500 Hedingham Boulevard, Raleigh, North Carolina 27604. Pastor Adam L. Herring will officiate.

Veterans Cemetery Appointment for Interment or Burial will be held, Friday, December 27, 2024, at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, 164 Longs Plant Farm Road, Goldsboro, North Carolina 27534.
