In profound sorrow, the Britt Funeral Home and Cremation Service join with the Cobb, Morgan and Outlaw families to announce Mr. Robert Earl Outlaw of La Grange, North Carolina, age 73, has completed his earthly journey.  Mr. Outlaw transitioned from labor to reward Friday, April 29, 2022 at his residence in La Grange, North Carolina.  He was lovingly known by his family members and friends as “Daddy” and “Rob.” 

He was born in Lenoir County, North Carolina, January 21, 1949, to the late Mr. Ellis Cobb and Mrs. Callie Outlaw.

He was educated in the Lenoir County School System and attended school in Kinston, North Carolina.

Mr. Outlaw united with and attended Bethany Free Will Baptist Church in Albertson, North Carolina, under the leadership of Pastor Aaron L. Jarman and First Lady, Cynthia Jarman.   

During Mr. Outlaw’s working years, he worked as a Master Car Salesman for Don Wise Chevrolet in Goldsboro, North Carolina.

Brother Outlaw was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Ellis Cobb and Mrs. Callie Outlaw; his daughters, Mrs. Quamisha Moye and Ms. Chelsea Outlaw; his nieces, Ms. Ann Outlaw and Ms. Kiosha Moore; his nephews, Mr. Jimmy Gooding, Jr., Mr. John Earl Gooding, Mr. Donald Pelham, Jr. and Mr. Kevin Henderson; his brothers-in-law, Mr. William Morgan and Mr. Jimmy Gooding, Sr.; all his siblings, including one sibling who helped raise him, Mrs. Emma Lee Gooding; his special friends, Mr. Durham, Mr. Junior Coefield and Mr. Clarence Branch Jr. 

A public visitation will be held Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. in the Britt Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 414 East Washington Street, La Grange, North Carolina 28551. 

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the Britt Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 414 East Washington Street, La Grange, North Carolina 28551.   Pastor Aaron L. Jarman will officiate. 

Interment will follow the Celebration of Life Service in the Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery, 295 West King Street, La Grange, North Carolina 28551.

Brother Outlaw leaves to cherish his loving and precious memories to his loving wife, Mrs. Janie Morgan-Outlaw and his granddaughter, Ms. Juliette Roberson both of the home; his daughters, Elder Tedra Clark of Memphis, Tennessee, Ms. Tina Outlaw of Mount Olive, North Carolina,  Ms. Alicia Wade and Dr. Kimberly Outlaw both of La Grange, North Carolina and Ms. Arjanae Dunk of Kinston, North Carolina; his son, Mr. Robert Outlaw, Jr. of  Kinston, North Carolina; his step daughter, Mrs. Alysha Baldwin and husband, Mr. Jackson of Phoenix, Arizona; his brothers-in-law, Mr. Clifton Morgan and Mr. Anthony Morgan both of La Grange, North Carolina; his sisters-in-law, Mrs. Carolyn Mosley and husband Mr. Charles of La Grange, North Carolina and Mrs. Peggy Fisher and husband, Mr. Charles of Savannah, Georgia; his special nephews, Mr. Aaron Outlaw of Greenville, North Carolina and Mr. Danny Gooding and wife, Mrs. Pertrena of Kinston, North Carolina; his special nieces, Ms. Grace Austin of Baltimore, Maryland and Mrs. Ruby Thomas and husband, Mr. Sylvester, of Kinston, North Carolina; his special cousin, Mr. Virgil Rosber of Kinston, North Carolina; his grandchildren; his great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Saturday, May 7, 2022, the family members and friends will assemble at Britt Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 414 East Washington Street, La Grange, North Carolina at 10:20 a.m. in preparation for the family lineup and the Celebration of Life Service.
