In profound sorrow, the Britt Funeral Home and Cremation Service join with the Faison, Manley and Faire families to announce Mr. Rickey Leroy Faire, Sr., age 66, of Goldsboro, North Carolina has completed his earthly journey.
He was lovingly known by his family members and friends as “Pete”.
Mr. Faire transitioned from labor to reward, July 1, 2024, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, North Carolina.
Rickey was born in Wayne County, North Carolina, July 31, 1957, to the late Mr. Elijah Faire and Mrs. Beulah Mae Faison-Faire.
Rickey received his education in Wayne County Public School System.
He attended and graduated from Goldsboro High School in the Class of 1976.
During his employment years, Mr. Faire served as a Self Employed Master Brick Mason.
Also, he shared his working skills with Shealy's flower shop and JB Rhodes Funeral Home both of Goldsboro, North Carolina.
During his “Down Times” in life, he enjoyed fishing. A number of times, Ricky could be found at the coast and on Seaview Fishing Pier catching large fish.
Mr. Faire was a proud member of the J.W. Hood Lodge #8 (PHA) of Goldsboro, North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Elijah Faire and Mrs. Beulah Mae Faison-Faire; his brothers, Mr. Charles Faison, Mr. Clarence Faire, and Mr. Elijah Faire, Jr.
A public visitation will be held Saturday, July 6, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. in Goldsboro Raleigh District Assembly Church, 211 West Hooks River Road, Goldsboro, North Carolina 27530.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in Goldsboro Raleigh District Assembly Church, 211 West Hooks River Road, Goldsboro, North Carolina 7530. Apostle David Uzzell will officiate.
Interment will follow the Celebration of Life Service in Wayne Memorial Park Cemetery, 2925 Hwy 117 South, Dudley, North Carolina 28333.
Mr. Faire is survived by his loving wife, of 39 years, Mrs. Kimbla Manley Faire, of the home; his sons, Mr. Rickey Faire, Jr., Mr. Reginald Faire, Sr., and Mr. Randy Faire; his daughter, Ms. Kimbla Faire (aka "Baby Girl"); his grandchildren, Mr. Reginald Faire, Jr., Ms. Kaelyn Faire and Mr. Ramir Faire; his sisters, Ms. Lorraine Faire and Ms. Lakisha Faire; his brothers, Mr. James Faison, Mr. Michael Faire and Mr. Ronnie Faire; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Saturday, July 6, 2024, the family members and friends will assemble at the residence of Mrs. Kimbla Faire, 104 Rose Court, Dudley, North Carolina at 9:45 a.m., in preparation for the funeral procession to Goldsboro Raleigh District Assembly, Goldsboro, North Carolina.
Floral arrangements may be delivered to Britt Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 414 East Washington Street, La Grange, North Carolina beginning Friday morning, July 5, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
