In profound sorrow, the Britt Funeral Home and Cremation Service join with the Davis family to announce Mr. Randy Ray Davis of Seven Springs, North Carolina, age 65, has completed his earthly journey. 

Mr. Davis transitioned from labor to reward Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, North Carolina.  

Randy was born in Wayne County, North Carolina, April 27, 1956, to the late Bennie Davis and Mary Rose Davis.

He received his education in the Wayne County Public School System in Goldsboro, North Carolina.

During Mr. Davis’ working years, he retired as a Shipping and Receiving Clerk for Butterball Turkey Company.

Mr. Randy enjoyed listening to music and watching movies.  He was a big fan of the Dallas Cowboys, drag racing and car shows.  He loved family cookouts and caring for his family members and friends.

Brother Davis was preceded in death by his parents, Bennie and Mary Rose Davis; his daughter, Tiawanda Poole and his sister, Mary (Bay) Edwards.

 A public visitation will be held Saturday, September 11, 2021, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. in the Britt Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 414 East Washington Street, La Grange, North Carolina 28551. 

Also, a Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. in the Britt Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 414 East Washington Street, La Grange, North Carolina 28551.  Reverend Michelle Davis will officiate.  

Final Disposition will be held at a future date in a private service.

He leaves to rejoice his life legacy and love to one daughter, Mrs. Lakiya Cherry and husband, Mr. Marcus Cherry, of Jacksonville, North Carolina; his son, Mr. Patrick Davis of Jacksonville, North Carolina; his brother, Mr. Bennie Davis of Seven Springs, North Carolina; his sister, Mrs. Darlene Davis of Seven Springs, North Carolina; his grandchildren, Keyonte Poole, Kishawna Bell, Hezekiah Poole, Jayden Poole, and Marcus Cherry Jr; his aunt, Mrs. Yvonne and Lee Curry; his uncle, Mr. Eugene Rose; his nieces, Michelle Davis and Maria Davis; his nephews, Bennell Garner, Speedy Whitfield, Donte Edwards,  Ryan Davis and Owen Davis; numerous cousins and a host of other family members and friends who loves him and will cherish his memory.

Saturday, September 11, 2021, the family members, and friends will assemble at Britt Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 414 East Washington Street, La Grange, North Carolina at 11:15 a.m. in preparation for the family lineup and the Celebration of Life Service.
