In profound sorrow, Britt Funeral Home and Cremation Service join with the Garner, Sutton and Parks families to announce Mr. Cardell Parks, Jr., age 70, of La Grange, North Carolina has completed his earthly journey.
He was lovingly known by his family members and friends as “Junior”.
Mr. Parks transitioned from labor to reward, February 25, 2025, at ECU Health Care Center in Greenville, North Carolina.
Junior was born in Wayne County, North Carolina, on October 13, 1954, to the late Mr. Cardell Parks, Sr. and Mrs. Thelma Garner-Parks.
Junior was reared in Seven Springs, North Carolina and received his education in Duplin County Public School System.
During his working years, Mr. Parks was a log truck driver. Also, he enjoyed farming.
Truly, Junior was loved and cared for by his family members.
Cardell was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Cardell Parks, Sr. and Mrs. Thelma Garner-Parks; his three brothers; Mr. Marshall, Mr. Linwood Earl and Master Baby Boy Parks.
A public visitation will be held Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:50 a.m., in Britt Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 414 East Washington Street, La Grange, North Carolina 28551.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 12:00 p.m., in Britt Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 414 East Washington Street, La Grange, North Carolina 28551. Elder Dexter Waters will officiate.
Interment will follow the Celebration of Life Service in Jerusalem Church Cemetery, 395 Jerusalem Church Road, Seven Springs, North Carolina 28578.
Mr. Cardell leaves to cherish his loving and precious memories to his wife, Mrs. Clarice Parks; his four brothers, Mr. Charles Parks and wife, Mrs. Deborah, Mr. Ronnie Parks, all of La Grange, North Carolina, Mr. Gary Parks and wife, Mrs. Tina of Kinston, North Carolina and Mr. Glen Parks and wife, Mrs. Tameshia of Goldsboro, North Carolina; his three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Sutton of Silver Springs, Maryland, Ms. Wanda Parks of La Grange, North Carolina and Ms. Katrina Parks of Goldsboro, North Carolina; his uncle, Mr. Ben Garner of Baltimore, Maryland; his aunt, Mrs. Jessie Mae Sutton of Kinston, North Carolina; his great aunt, Ms. Fannie B. Parks of La Grange North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
