In profound sorrow, the Britt Funeral Home and Cremation Service join with the Swinson, Wynn and Robinson families to announce Eldress Bernice Swinson Robinson, age 82 of Dudley, North Carolina has completed her earthly journey. 

She was lovingly known by her family members and friends as “Eldress Robinson”. 

Eldress Robinson transitioned from labor to reward, June 20, 2022, at the Goldsboro Assisted Living Center in Goldsboro, North Carolina. 

Eldress Robinson was born in Wayne County, North Carolina, April 30, 1940, to Mr. Burrell Swinson and Mrs. Mattie Wynn-Swinson.

She received her education in the Wayne County Public School System. 

Eldress Robinson graduated from Carver High School in Mount Olive, North Carolina.

During her employment years, she served as a Health Care Technician for The O’Berry Center in Goldsboro, North Carolina.

During Eldress Robinson’s spiritual up bring, she was an active member of the Darden Chapel OFWB Church in Goldsboro, North Carolina.

Also, she joined the Original Free Will Baptist Conference and served faithfully for many years under the leadership of Bishop L. N. Forbes.

Eldress Robinson was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Burrell Swinson and Mr.  Mattie Wynn-Swinson; her husband, Pastor William T. Robinson; her brother, Mr. Burrell Swinson, Jr.; and her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Zsa Zsa Robinson.

A public visitation will be held, Saturday, June 25, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. in the Greenleaf Christian Disciples Church, 2110 North William Street, Goldsboro, North Carolina 27530.

Also, a Celebration of Life Service will be held, Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. in the Greenleaf Christian Disciples Church, 2110 North William Street, Goldsboro, North Carolina 27530.  Elder Christopher L. Robinson will officiate.

Interment will follow the Celebration of Life Service in the Wayne Memorial Park Cemetery - South, 2925 US Hwy 117-South, Goldsboro, North Carolina.

Eldress Robinson leaves to cherish her sweet and precious memories to her sons, Mr. Timothy D. Robinson of Goldsboro, North Carolina and Elder Christopher L. Robinson and wife, Mrs. Tramanda of Dudley, North Carolina; her grandchildren, Dythaniel Lewis, Karina Robinson, Jaylan Robinson, Jordan Robinson and Justin Robinson; her great granddaughter, Jordyn Bernard; her sisters, Mrs. Rosa Beamon of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Mrs. Dorothy Lumpkin of Washington, DC, Mrs. Rematha Williams of Goldsboro, North Carolina and Mrs. Brenda Lee and husband, Mr. Alfonzo of  Dudley, North Carolina; her brothers, Mr. Thomas Swinson and wife, Margaret of Goldsboro, North Carolina and Mr. Bobby Swinson of Washington, DC; her stepchildren, Ms. Cynthia Thompson of Goldsboro, North Carolina, Mrs. Wendy Haire and husband, Mr. Darryl of Fayetteville,  North Carolina and Mr. William Robinson and wife, Mrs. Cathy of Egg Harbor Township,  New Jersey; her special goddaughter, Mother Ava Brewington; a host of godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Saturday, June 25, 2022, the family members and friends will assemble at the residence of Elder Christopher Robinson and Mrs. Tramanda, 102 Scott Drive, Dudley, North Carolina 28333, at 9:30 a.m., in preparation for the funeral procession to the Greenleaf Christian Disciples Church in Goldsboro, North Carolina.

Floral arrangements may be delivered to Britt Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 414 East Washington Street, La Grange, North Carolina beginning Friday morning, June 24, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
