I, on behalf of our Prelate, Moderator Joe A. Jackson, submit this letter of condolence from ‘Bear Creek Missionary Baptist Association Pastors, Churches and members.
We extend our deepest sympathy to the Gillette family at this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Mr. Roderick W. Gillette was truly an inspiration to many people and his passing will leave a void. We know without a doubt that he's gone on to a much better place than this old world. Know that you are all in my thoughts during this difficult time.

I want to extend my deepest sympathies to Rod's family and friends. I worked with Rod for a number of years and am completely heartbroken that such a kind man has been taken from us. You have all been in my prayers these last few days and will continue to be.
