Mother Rosa Lee (Moore) Crawford

The Britt Funeral Home and Cremation Service joins with the Crawford Family to announce the passing of Rosa Lee Moore Crawford, of Goldsboro, North Carolina, She was lovingly known by her family members and friends as “Ro Lee” and “Mother Crawford.”

Mrs. Crawford transitioned from labor to reward Thursday, June 20, 2019 at her residence in Goldsboro, North Carolina at the age of 94. Born in Greene County, North County on October 18, 1924 to the late Mr. Herman Moore and Mrs. Anna Whitley-Moore. 
 

Rosa received her education in the Greene County Public School System.  She was a member of Saint Delight United Holy Church of Parkstown where she served on the Church’s Mother Board.

Mrs. Crawford was preceded in death by her husband, Deacon Andrew Crawford; her two sons, Lawyer E. Crawford and James E. Crawford; her son in law, Bishop Quincy Gardner, Jr.

Public viewing will be conducted on Friday, June 28, 2019 from10:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. with services starting at 11:00 a.m. at the Saint Delight United Holy Church, 976 La Grange Road (Parkstown Community), La Grange, North Carolina 28551.  Bishop Devin C. Pickett, Sr. will officiate.  Interment will follow at the Old Mill Cemetery, 3310 Central Heights Road, Goldsboro, North Carolina 27534. 

She leaves to mourn and cherish her loving and precious memories to her daughters, Mary D. Faison (Arthur) of San Antonio, Texas, Mrs. Lenora C. Gardner, LaGrange, NC and Doris E. Crawford of Goldsboro, NC; son, William H Crawford (Alice), Goldsboro, NC; Goddaughter, Brenda Lee, Dudley, NC; brother, William S. Moore and sister Lena Scarborough of Philadelphia, PA. She also leaves twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

On Friday, June 28, 2019, the family members and friends will assemble at the residence of Doris Crawford, 618 Slaughter Street, Goldsboro, North Carolina at 8:30 a.m. in preparation for the funeral procession.
