Mr. James Kelvin Wade

Mr. James Kelvin Wade, 53, lovingly known by his family and friends as "Dulla," of 755 Gates Avenue, Brooklyn, New York passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at his residence in New York.

“Dulla” was born in Kings County, New York on July 15, 1964 to the late Mr. Willie Wade and Mrs. Clarice Johnson-Wade.

James was educated in the King’s County, New York public School system.

“Dulla” loved eating good country food, he loved cooking, he loved seeing and visiting with his family, especially his children, grand children and he loved traveling to North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mrs. Clarice Johnson-Wade and his father, Willie Wade; his brother in law, Wayne Markham, his nephew, Tavares Wade.

James was educated in the King’s County, New York public School system.

Funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, November 26, 2017, at 1:30 p.m. in the Rouse’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 4813 Rouse Chapel Road, La Grange, North Carolina.  Pastor Charles H. Kittrell will officiate.

Interment will follow in the La Grange Memorial Park Cemetery, 295 West James Street, La Grange, North Carolina.

Also, a public viewing will be held on Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Britt Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 414 East Washington Street, La Grange, North Carolina.

Mr. Wade leaves to cherish his loving and precious memories to his children, Jasmine Wade of Atlanta, GA., Crystal Graves, DaQuan Graves and LaTasha Graves all of Allentown, PA. and Angela Jones of NJ; his sisters, Bernadette Ferguson and husband, Derrick, of Brooklyn, NY and Carla Wade of Bowie, MD; his brothers, Kenneth Wade of Brooklyn, NY and Andre Wade of Utica, NY; his uncles, George Johnson and wife, Shirley, of La Grange, NC, Charles Johnson and wife, Mary and Marvin Harvin all of Goldsboro, NC; his aunt, Margie Johnson of Goldsboro, NC; his great uncle, Maceo Clinton of La Grange, NC; his special friend, Sandra (Penny) Graves; his host of grandchildren; his special cousins, the Purvis family, the Suggs family, the Harvin family and the Richardson family; his special New York friends, Maxine Forbes family of Atlanta, GA, the Mayo family, the Graves family, the Ferguson family, the Felder family, the Bouie family and the Giles family; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

On Sunday, November 26, 2017, the family members and friends will assemble at Britt Funeral Home, 414 East Washington Street, La Grange, North Carolina at 12:30 p.m. in preparation for the funeral procession.
