Mr. Torres LaMont Richardson

Mr. Torres LaMont Richardson, age 33, lovingly known by his family members and friends as “Torres” of Killeen, Texas passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at his residence in Killeen, Texas.

Torres was born in Wake County, North Carolina on November 30, 1984 to Mr. Rudolph Richardson, Jr. and Ms. Angela Uzzell.

He was educated in the Wilson County public school system and graduated from Hunt High School in the Class of 2004.

Torres was a loving young man who loved everyone.  He loved life and always tried to help people.  His favorite sports and games were basketball, bowling, playing dominoes, board games and football.  Torres’ favorite professional football team was the New England Patriots.

He was employed at Kentucky Fried Chicken in Killeen, Texas.  Mr. Richardson has worked himself up toward becoming a manger.

Mr. Richardson was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mrs. Rosa Uzzell.

Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at 12:00 p.m. in the First Missionary Baptist Church, 6161 Lucama Road, Lucama, North Carolina. Pastor Anthony Thompson will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Southern Grove Cemetery, 1058 Old Stancil Road, Kenly, North Carolina.

Also, a public viewing will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. in the First Missionary Baptist Church, 6161 Lucama Road, Lucama, North Carolina, one hour prior to the funeral service.

Mr. Torres leaves to cherish his loving and precious memories to his mother, Ms. Angela Uzzell of Lucama, NC and his father, Mr. Rudolph Richardson, Jr. and wife, Cynthia, of Wilson, NC; his maternal relatives, his grandfather, Mr. Willie Uzzell of Durham, NC; his brothers, Quintin Richardson of Fayetteville, NC, Sherrod Richardson and wife, Julian, El Paso, TX and Byron Uzzell of Greenville, NC; his sister, Deseree' Uzzell of Selma, NC; his aunts, Velvet Uzzell of Newton Grove, NC and Wanda Pena and husband, Felipe, of Killeen, TX; his uncles, Terry Uzzell of Durham, NC and James Uzzell and wife, Cathy, of Clear Water, FL; his paternal relatives, his grandfather, Rudolph Richardson and wife, Mary, of Goldsboro, NC; his grandmother, Rosetta Richardson of Kenly, NC; his aunts, Ann Coles and husband, Isaac, of  Virginia, Brenda Richardson of Utah, Joyce Adams and husband, Doug, of Fremont, NC, Linda Gail Artis and husband, Charles, of Selma, NC and Debbie Bunn and husband, Jack, of Wilson, NC; his uncle, Tony Richardson of Kenly, NC; his nephews, Trevon Richardson of Fayetteville, NC, Kristen Richardson of El Paso, TX and Romeo White of El Paso, TX, his step siblings, Tikiya Sauls, Melanie Sauls, Jeff Battle all of Wilson NC and Devorese Sauls of Black Creek NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

On Saturday, January 13, 2018, the family members and friends will assemble at the residence of Ms. Angela Uzzell, of 6413 Juanita Loop Road, Lucama, North Carolina at 9:45 a.m. in preparation for the funeral procession.
