Miss. Ora Jean Crawford

Miss. Ora Jean Crawford of Goldsboro, North Carolina transitioned from labor to reward on Monday, March 19, 2018 at the Wayne UNC Health Care Center in Goldsboro, North Carolina.

Ora was born in Wayne County, North Carolina on April 21, 1949 to the late Mr. Robert Hodges Davis and Ms. Lillian Crawford.

She was educated in the Wayne County public school system.  Ora attended and graduated from Dillard High School in the Class of 1967.

During Miss. Crawford’s working years, she served as a Certified Heath Care Technician for O’Berry Training School in Goldsboro, North Carolina.

Sister Crawford was a member of Saints Delight United Holy Church in the Parkstown Community, La Grange, North Carolina, where she served as a member of the Gospel Choir.

Funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. in the Greater Guiding Star United Holy Church, 1114 South Slocumb Street, Goldsboro, North Carolina.  Bishop Elect Devin C. Pickett, Sr. will officiate.

Also, a public viewing will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2018, from 12:00 p.m. to 12:50 p.m. in the Greater Guiding Star United Holy Church, 1114 South Slocumb Street, Goldsboro, North Carolina.

Interment will follow in the Old Mill Cemetery, 3718 Central Heights Road, Goldsboro, North Carolina 27534

Miss. Crawford leaves to cherish her loving and precious memories to her son, Mr. Bryan Crawford of Goldsboro, NC; two grandchildren, Bryanna and Bryson Crawford; to her four sisters, Mrs. Gwendolyn C. Mason and husband, Gregory of Greenville, NC,  Ms. Theresa Davis of Salisbury, NC, Ms. Teresa Davis of Raleigh, NC and Ms. Lena Davis of Kinston, NC; her four brothers, Mr. Frankie Davis of Raleigh, NC, Mr. Tharoy Davis and Jay Davis of Goldsboro, NC and Mr. Joe Foster Davis of Mocksville, NC; a loving sister-in-law, Mrs. Bernice Crawford of
​Goldsboro, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

On Saturday, March 24, 2018, the family members and friends will assemble at the residence of Mr. Henry King of 708 East Elm Street, Goldsboro, North Carolina at 10:45 a.m. in preparation for the funeral procession.
